Dating back to 1861, the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus is today considered a masterpiece of Greek Revival architecture and boasts exquisite details such as hand cut marble floors, imposing statues, and lovely paintings. The stained-glass skylight is truly a sight to behold.

A replica of Christopher Columbus's ship the Santa Maria, used in his voyage of discovery to the New World in 1492, this ship was moored in the Scioto River 500 years later in a 1992 commemoration. Now a historical landmark, it hosts school kids on overnight camps, as well as regular tours.
